Celebrate Earth Hour: Ten Years of Impact.

This year, in 2017, one of the world’s largest demonstrations is celebrating its ten years’ anniversary. We are talking about the famous Earth Hour. This demonstration takes part every year in the end of March (in 2017 – on March 25th) usually between 20:30 and 21:30. The main mission is to protect our planet from climate change – to avoid global warming – by switching off the electricity for only one hour once a year (what can be easier?!). Millions of volunteers all over the world get together in their countries to promote the idea of reducing the use of electricity. They organize flash mobs on the main squares around the planet and show that people can have fun without using power. Only last year, the event connected 178 countries for this demonstration, the organization is also supported by the governments of many countries – they switch off the lights on most of the tourist attractions and government buildings to be part of this amazing movement.

But Earth Hour is not just a one-time-per-year event – it is a global movement which is working together with WWF (http://wwf.panda.org) and other worldwide volunteer organizations. It is a movement that has achieved a massive environmental impact, including legislation changes by harnessing the power of the crowd. You can read more about them on their official website – https://www.earthhour.org

Landing East loves our planet very much, so, we definitely could not pass by this great event – this Saturday evening we organize something very interesting and unique for our tenants (afterwards we will write a review about how it was). And are you going to support Earth Hour? If yes, please tell us about it in the comments. Do not forget to share this post with your friends (on WeChat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or by sending a link from our official website http://www.landingeast.com) – everyone can help our planet, which is suffering from a climate change, just by switching off all electricity for one hour! Every person is important!
